Jamberry Giveaway for Charity!

Today, just over a year since I started my blog, I am celebrating my 200th post! You know what that means, right? It means that I like to talk!!! No, really, it means that I found such a wonderful community here. It has really exceeded all my expectations. I found Cathsorority, great readers, fascinating blogs to follow and the things I've read and learned have helped me in so many areas of my life. I thought I would celebrate with a giveaway that also benefits charity!

My sister in law, Jen, is a Jamberry consultant consultant. Have you ever heard of Jamberry? It's a new way of doing your nails, and SO much cheaper than going to the salon. It lasts for weeks without chipping, is non-toxic, gluten free, vegan, AND the company recycles. I would imagine that means if your toddler runs off with one while you're applying them, you don't have to worry much (can't say that about nail polish!). They have a bit of a learning curve, but are totally worth it. Plus, her facebook page has tons of tips, as does youtube and the ever amazing google.

My mom has been wearing them for a few months now and is totally sold. She has LOTS of shields. One of the coolest things is that you can get more than one use out of a sheet, which makes the $15/sheet price even better! Often times they run deals, like buy 3 sheets, get 1 free. So when my mom visited last weekend, she brought her kit and shields for me to see. I picked out one to wear and had her apply them. The prints are even more impressive, but I chose a solid because my mom and I have different taste in prints (love you, mom!). She put them on for me and it took about 45 minutes.

I love them! I have always loved having my nails painted, but I'm terrible at it. I can't 'stay inside the lines', it chips the next day because I'm rough with my hands, and the smell is terrible when I'm painting them. The nail shields are sturdy, come in super fun prints, and aren't messy. After wearing them for a few days, I'm a big fan! So, I am super excited that Jen agreed to host a giveaway on my blog so that one lucky reader can win not one but TWO sheets of nail shields!

The giveaway is for the two colors you see above, Holiday Snowflake and Raspberry Sparkle.

But wait! I'm not done! This is the giveaway that keeps giving, because she has offered for 25% of sales generated from this giveaway to benefit the charity of my choice. After making a list and checking it twice, I decided for the money to go to Catholic Relief Services who serves people both here in the US and internationally, and 94% of the money they get goes directly towards their programs. So if you are debating buying some, remember that 25% of the purchase price will be donated to a great cause!

Bonus: There is currently a buy 3, get 1 free offer going AND a 10% coupon code (likejamberry), and you get extra entries for purchasing! Be sure to choose the Catholic and Crunchy Fundraiser when you check out!

So what are you waiting for? Enter!!! Entries will close next Tuesday, the 11th.

  3. It's very difficult for me to pick one favorite but if I'm forced to I guess I'd have to say gold leopard. And I take offense to your comment on my pattern choices!! ;-)

  6. I like the Turquoise floral! These are awesome!!! I love having my nails done, but I haven't been happy with the organic, chemical-free polishes I've tried.

    1. I have "Piggy Paints" which I really like, but these hold up better and are way more affordable!

  7. I like the French tips best - the basic white tip on clear, long nails. I am very hard on nail polish and poor at maintaining them, so I am curious about these nail shields.

  8. I am a fan of fuddy-duddy solids. But my girls, 15 and 13 will love the prints. Great stocking stuffers!

  9. I love the blue damask and the green zebra. I used to paint my nails all kinds of crazy colors but finally gave up because I have such weak nails and polish makes them so much worse. Really curious to try these out.
